Ghana Volunteering
The program:
Everyday is an adventure in Africa. Here you get the opportunity to plunge deep into an african villages everyday life and directly help its people. According to your skills and abilites you are welcome to start own initiatives. A major part of the program fee will directly be spent on the aquirement of groceries, building materials and other supplies. You thereby do not only contribute with your labour but also with some kind of a donation.
Project sites:
You will be picked up by a representative of the partner organization at the airport in Accra and spend your first days in Ghana in a hostfamily. Here you will already be recieved with the famous african hospitality so deeply enrooted in this culture. This will help to introduce you to the Ghanaian way of life and be a great startup for the experiences you are about to gather during your stay in this continents famous hospitality.
Tasks:
The volunteers will help a village comunity e.g. by:
- Organic farming
- Construction projects (e.g. schools, hospitals)
- Health awarenes
- Women empowerment
- Childcare/teaching/sport
Board and Lodging:
All volunteers will have free lodging organized by the village comunity, during the duration of the project. If you can not eat the african food or if you are a vegetarian or allergic you will get assistance in selfproviding if you tell us in advance. During the days in the host family an extra 15 USD per day must be payed.

- Clothing for every kind of weather
- Sunblock
- Backpack
- Sleepingbag
- Sleepingpad
Requirements:
- Minimum age 18 years
- Visa
- Health insurance during the entire stay
- Englishskills
- Ability to work in a team
Acknowledgement:
Some students (e.g. of pedagogic) may get this program recognized for their studies or as an internship. (This should be discussed with the professor before leaving.)
In any case a certificate can be issued.

The flight must be organized by the participant.
Start dates:
Throughout the whole year. (Minimum duration 3 weeks)
